Lauren Hirsh
Lauren Hirsh is a music educator and Executive Director for the Organization of American Kodály Educators. She received Music Education degrees from Wichita State University with emphasis in percussion. Ms. Hirsh is drawn to many artistic areas and is a collaborator in MapMusik, a team of artists encouraging people to walk "with open ears," collecting and sharing sounds and orchestrating those into interactive community performances. Lauren has served a variety of roles within her state and regional Kodály chapters, the Wichita Public Library Board of Directors, a civic engagement organization, KMEA, and her neighborhood association.

Lauren's passion is to create opportunities for learning and sharing rich artistic experiences and believes these human connections are vitally important in the time we are living and as society progresses toward automation and potential disconnection. Enriching the field of music education is especially exciting because each developing teacher affects thousands of students and families over the course of their career.
